Over 500 Chinese entrepreneurs and industry leaders met for the first time with key U.S. leaders interested in pursuing growth in the Chinese market
At the 2011 annual Yabuli Conference of China Entrepreneurs Forum, dozens of U.S. business leaders and high-level China operation executives convened with more than 500 Chinese entrepreneurs and industry leaders in China’s northeast sky resort Yabuli, Heilongjiang Province.
China Center served as a convener of the China-U.S. Business Leaders Dialogue on February 16 when it brought 16 U.S. high-level executives to the Conference. This is a major part of the U.S. delegation at the Conference. 2011 marks the first time that the U.S. business community participated in the annual gathering of the Chinese entrepreneurs circle.
“It is so great that the U.S. CEOs and executives have the opportunity to witness the dynamic culture of Chinese entrepreneurs, to be part of the bilateral dialogue in so many different aspects,” said Xue Ya, President of China Center who headed the U.S. delegation.
Among the U.S. CEOs featured at the conference was Douglas Durst, Chairman of the Durst Organization one of the most important real estate companies in New York City with a focus on long term approach to development. Durst shared his perspective on heritage of family businesses and professional management, an important topic among Chinese entrepreneurs. Joining Durst was his son Alexander Durst, Co-Vice President of the Durst Organization. The presiding chair of the Conference Mr. Chen Dongsheng and his son Chen Yilun, together with other prominent CEOs and their children participated in the generational dialogue under the topic.
The three day conference provided a perfect venue for U.S. and Chinese attendees to mingle and conduct business conversations in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The Chinese tweeter on Sina.com live-broadcast reactions from all over the country over a big screen on the conference site. The reactions on the business leader’s remarks and debates were phenomenal.
